We have 1 mission to reunite people and the natural world through community, original skills, and a sense of place. We do this by offering a framework through 9 pathways. Through these 9 pathways, there are 45 different guilds. An opportunity of 225 stepping stones to accomplish on your journey.

Adult Programs at White Pine

White Pine’s Adult Programs are an immersive experience in our Shikari Wilderness System.

Adult Programs at White Pine are super fun and engaging and we would love to make each of them recurring Year after Year if possible.

Our Adult Programs usually fit into one of three categories;

• Intensives- multi day long, higher cost courses like Track and Sign Evals and Bow Building. For these White Pine handles the registration.
• Clubs- typically free and monthly like Trackers Club monthly on Saturdays.
• Community Classes- Typically one off Saturday or Sunday classes. These tend to be in the 25 to $100 range.

We have found it much easier if Instructors create their own Eventbrite registration system as that will promote your event and you can handle all pricing and class size decisions on your own.

If you create social media buz we will share your content.

White Pine will not charge a fee to host. We are a non-profit now and if you’d like to make a donation or extend a discount offer to staff that is greatly appreciated, but not necessary. We love hosting you all for the new folks you bring in and for the knowledge you bring to the community.

Pathways Philosophy - We Stay Free

01 Pathways in Traditional Societies

For traditional societies these Pathways were sacred guilds, filled with ceremony, sacrifice, and prohibition. This was not only essential for the preservation of information in an oral tradition, it also ensured the holistic integration of generations of hard earned knowledge.

02 Integration of Western and Traditional Cultures

At White Pine we are a part of a global Indigenous Skills/ Nature Connection Revolution. Our goal is to integrate the scientific, technological, ecological and cultural advancements of Western and Traditional cultures. We do this out of a sense of urgency that humans have to connect to the earth. Humbly, with the guidance of Elders we forge our own path. We are not Lakota, we are not European, we are not American. We are modern people with ancient DNA creating new Human Pathways.

03 Pathways in Practice

To foster the flourishing of culture around each of the Pathways we encourage students to return. For those who have been on the Path for some time, we offer increasingly complex curriculum as well as volunteer and mentorship roles. At the center of the Pathway Philosophy sits the Elders, those who have walked down each of the directions to mastery and returned. Here in the center, the fire of ancient wisdom still burns.
