Program Overview

Protector club sessions weave together martial arts, movement, and meditation in a way that is both challenging and empowering. Some students are drawn to the physical strength and mobility they develop, while others find meaning in confronting aggression, bullying, or their own inner struggles. In sessions, students find confidence, grit, connection and joy. Protectors leave with tools to resolve conflict, move with ease, and carry themselves with balance and assurance. With the reflexes of a cat and the awareness of a hawk, Protectors are ready to rise to the occasion.

Our multi-age environment creates a dynamic and supportive community with benefits for every club member. Fast and agile younger students gain positive role models and learn empathy while feeling inspired by older practitioners. With more precision and control, older students build patience, pass on valuable knowledge and feel more connected while gaining confidence and reinforcing their own understanding of techniques. Our mixed-age group has a family-like atmosphere, reinforcing that martial arts is a lifelong pursuit.

Program Location

Our Protectors Club program is located at our Rocky Ripple campus, our home base since 2014. Rocky Ripple is a quiet neighborhood, tucked in between the Indianapolis Canal and the Wapahani (White) River, and is loved by many for it’s peace and quiet. Here, we can explore the beautiful woods and shorelines of the river to connect ourselves to nature.

Our campus is a private, partially-fenced space with everything you need for a nature-centered martial arts study and practice.

Program Structure

Protectors Club meets from 4:30pm-6:00pm on Thursdays.

We are outside 99% of the time, with students only going inside in the case of restroom breaks, extreme heat or cold, or severe weather threats. Students are encouraged to come prepared for the elements and embrace the challenge of building resilience.
