Andy Lien
After-School Teens Instructor
Andy Lien first developed a love of nature growing up in rural southern Indiana hiking and camping with his family. He also participated in Boy Scouts where he learned field craft and group organization skills and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from college with a high school Teachers Certification and has spent years working in adult education.
He began working at White Pine as a parent volunteer after his kids began attending camp there and he now works as a part time instructor in the summer camp and after school programs where he has witnessed first-hand the transformative power of developing nature awareness and outdoor skills.
Andy’s favorite outdoor location is the Western Great Lakes Forest region which he visits regularly. In his spare time he enjoys woodworking, fishing and attending his kids’ soccer games.
