Eleanor found every chance to explore nature as a child. Most often, they could be found reading by the river and making friends with every toad they laid eyes on. As an adult, Eleanor continues that learning through regular backpacking at their beloved secret camping spots in Charles Deam Wilderness and beyond.

Additionally, Eleanor has worked with their mentor, Cecilia Bowman, to learn regenerative farming techniques and edible plant foraging as an intern with Hoosier Organic Marketing and Education.  They are utilizing these skills to create their own sustainable co-living homestead in the heart of the city, complete with chickens, a community garden, and a native medicinal/pollinator garden.

First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certified, completing 200hr yoga certification in Dec 2022, and graduating with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024. Eleanor deeply values community, authenticity, safety, justice, and reverence. They hope to bring these skills and values to their work at White Pine Wilderness Academy

Eleanor is grateful to White Pine WildernessAcademy, its founders, staff, Village Keepers, and students for inviting them in to learn, grow, teach, and provide along with the community.
